Project & Constructions Manager
 

Lynk & Co is planning to roll out several exciting new concepts across Europe (stage I) and North America (stage II). These new concepts incorporate a range of interactive digital technologies, customer experiences and services to create a totally new generation of Flagship Stores & Pop-Ups.

 

We are to recruit a talented energetic individual to join our team and assist with this roll out. 

 

Sustainable and innovative design and execution become integral in the way our Flagship Stores & Pop-Ups are developed. The Project & Construction Manager will be a key team member on our journey to implement most advanced digital technology and create a state of the art lifestyle environment for a 360º degree consumer experience. He/She will drive the constructional development process for new locations (Flagship Stores & Pop-Ups), supporting on finding the right suppliers and shopfitters, lead general constructors, implement our new concepts from construction to completion and opening as well as keep track on existing locations for Minor Works, Rebrand, Re-fresh, Remodel and facilities/damage restoration or other out of scope projects.

 

We are looking for a self-motivated person, able to achieve high impact in an unstructured area, a pragmatic self-starter who acts pro-actively. You have the ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously at varying stages of complexity simultaneously. You possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and have extensive knowledge of the European marketplace and a good understanding of retail processes, systems and strategies.

 

The position is based in Amsterdam and you will report to the Sales Director responsible for projects in Europe and Northern America and undertake projects in these regions. Opportunities to undertake project in other regions can arise.
 

In your role as Project & Construction Manager you will:

 

  • Manage and implement, independently and with high ambition, multiple Flagship Store & Pop-Up opening projects from giving input on the constructional feasibility of the projects, project kick-off, to construction completion and opening
  • Develop project sets including layout, facade design etc. meeting Lynk & Co design & quality requirements working together with internal teams to fulfill the demands of Commercial Operations, Marketing, CX team and finalize the layout with agreement from management and HQ
  • Develop construction schedules, scope of work, schedule the project in logical steps and budget required to meet deadlines. Drive all project schedules and manage contractors, vendors and consultants to meet all critical milestones in order to open all stores in accordance with the master schedule, within budget, and with high level of quality design and execution
  • Lead the execution of the Lynk & Co Construction & VM guidelines and related documents and processes to improve local and future operation
  • Identify the scope of works for GC and local architects and get quotes from candidate GC and local architect
  • Develop Permit set to get all necessary permits timely manner working with local architect
  • Lead post-project analyses and discussions. Identify opportunities and strive for continual process improvement
  • Convey clear and timely communication of all relevant project information, risks, challenges and identifying potential solutions is an essential part of the role
  • Support the teams on additional initiatives (e.g. Contributing to the development of department processes, assisting with the management of central vendors) 

 

Qualifications / Professional Experience

 

  • Team player with positive can-do attitude
  • Enjoys working in an international atmosphere and offers great intercultural competences
  • BA/BS or advanced degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent
  • Strong experience in construction & project management is a must
  • 5+ years of experience in retail or retail linked lifestyle industry as a Project/Construction Manager
  • Attention to detail; Sensitivity to aesthetic, quality architecture 
  • Fluent in English and at least one more European language
  • Willingness and ability to international travel frequently and regularly
